How can I apply family Visa in Saudi Arabia?
The family visa is very much linked to the profession on your Iqama.
Ministry issues family visas to only those in white-collar jobs.
Please find below the list of professions eligible to sponsor family
visa in Saudi Arabia.
Salary eligibility: SR 5000.
STEPS TO FOLLOW
• Attested Marriage Certificate and Birth
Certificate (for children) by Saudi Embassy in home country and
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in KSA, along with attested Arabic
Translation.
• Degree Certificate / Technical Diploma
of the applicant attested by Saudi Embassy in home country and
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in KSA.
• Letter from your sponsor directed to
Jawazat (Passport Dept.) requesting them to process visa for your
family. This letter should be stamped by the Chamber of Commerce.
• Pay visa fee of SR2000 per family
member through SADAD. You can pay this fee from your internet or phone
banking.
• Submit all the documents at Jawazat
Office. There are several Jawazat offices in big cities. If you are
living in Jeddah, you need to go to Istaqdam Jawazat Office situated
in Rehab District. Take token, go to the counter when your number
displays and submit; copies of Attested Degree Certificate along with
translation, Attested marriage certificate, Attested birth
certificates of all your children, Copies of passports of all the
members applying for the visa, Your passport copy, Copy of Iqama and
letter from the sponsor stamped by Chamber of Commerce. Originals
should be shown.
• Officer will check the documents and
will ask you to wait for a while. After around 30 minutes, you will be
called again at the window and if everything goes fine, you will be
given a yellow slip. This yellow slip is actually visa for your
family. Take the slip and check if the names and other details
mentioned on the yellow slip are the same as mentioned on the passport
and other formal documents.
STEPS TO PROCESS IN NATIVE COUNTRY
• Send the Yellow slip to your native
country-to your family. They can approach Travel Agents or Overseas
Employment agents to get visa stamped on the passport from Saudi
Embassy. They will charge you from SR 400 to SR 500 per passport and
take care of all the requirements.
• In some countries like Pakistan, Saudi
Government has established Eitamad Centers. You do not need to contact
agents in case Eitamad Centers are established in your native country.
You directly go to them with the report of medical test and they will
complete the procedures.
• All your family members will have to go
through a medical test before you approach Saudi Embassy to get visa
stamped. You can do it from approved laboratory.
STEPS AFTER ARRIVAL TO SAUDI ARABIA
After arrival of your family to Saudi Arabia, do medical test and
apply for Iqama. Report of the test needs to be given to the
Government Relations Officer (PRO) of your company. He will be
responsible for the rest of the official activities. Soon, you will
get Iqama. Fee: SR 500 for one year Iqama and SR 1,000
for two years Iqama.
