Test from Home Country for Sri Lankan, Indonesian & Ethiopian Housemaids
Indonesian and Sri Lankan nationals coming to GGC Countries on
employment/
residence visas must get medical
tests in their home countries and also have them attested by GAMCA –
GCC Approved Medical Centre association and GCC embassies based in the
two countries. This rule is applicable for employment visa holders,
domestic helpers (servant, babysitter, nanny, housemaid)
and house wife under dependents sponsorship. No need Medical Test for
those under 18 years of old. Medical test includes Pulmonary
Tuberculosis (TB), Hepatitis B and HIV/AIDS. It was recently decided
to scrap tests for hepatitis C.
Medical Test can be done at the government-run medical centres and
hospitals in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. The workers will be re-tested
again in the UAE after their arrival to prevent fraudulent
certification and to stem the cost of treating such workers and
deporting them if they are found to be contagious. Medical Report is
valid for three months from the date of Examination.
